Why move around the world when eden was so near?
— Rush

Being born and raised in Florida, my instinct was to leave to capture beautiful landscapes. In the beginning I was inspired by the big giant scenes you find in other areas of my portfolio. I don’t blame myself, many of us always enjoy venturing to the places we rarely see and experience. Not to mention Florida can be hot, sticky, and bug ridden for the majority of the year. That being said, every time I return I am reminded of just how much beauty if right outside your doorstep. This is something that required me to look at my work and photography in general in a more mature manner and I can confidently say I’m captivated by even the spots I’ve visited my entire life. You really miss those trees when you spend years in the desert.

Throughout this gallery you’ll find bayou or swamp inspired imagery. Many of these photos were actually captured in Texas of call places, but in general the southern regions blend together with their scenery. All of these images are personally selected and ready to be collected as fine art prints so please let me know if anything catches your eye!
